"La RECUCA"


"La RECUCA" is the abbreviation of the words "Recorrido de la Cultura Cafetera".It's a place located in the municipality of Calarcá, 20 minutes of Armenia. It's a place pleasant and funny where the visitors can take the experiences of rural work and know the fantastic and mythical history of coffee cultivation and colonization of Antioquia.



In the RECUCA make a tour of coffee crops on a trail where they show us the history of coffee, how planting and what their care.







The guides  make us laugh out loud with stories "Paisas" and history of coffee . People who come to  this site become in "chapoleras" and "Recolectores", where chapolera are women who usually  collect coffee.

Also, The visitors are dressed with  the clothes of the people who pick the coffee. Women wear long skirts, white shirts and white head scarves. Men wear blue shirts, red scarves and a big knifes.


The Recuca is a good place to be with your family, you learn about coffee and coffee farmers. It is also a place to have a good time and lots of fun. You can find a "PAISA" typical food, like beans with "agua de panela."
